We all love the independent, flexible and customized education we are able to offer our children when we choose to educate from home - but let's be honest: No one wants to do it alone! Learning and growing in community is an essential aspect of any child's education and here in Dawson Creek, BC our diverse group of home-based learners and educators is growing fast. Thinking of educating your child from home? Already at it? We want to CONNECT with you and your family! Home education has changed - you have so many options and BC is a wonderful place to jump in to an innovative and personalized education experience for your family!

If this is "Day One" of your journey towards home-based education in Dawson Creek, BC then you'll probably want to head to the BC Gov't website with a list of all your amazing options. It's important to note that in BC "homeschooling" means something very specific and while it is one option, there is also Distributed Learning (DL) which can be done through any of the independent schools listed there (or visit this link) or through some public schools. There are districts that even offer blended programs - but that is not currently an option in the South Peace. For students in Grade 10-12 looking for a local, public school distributed learning option, there is one through SD59.
